Descendants of All Worlds

Descendants of All Worlds Partners

Each DOAW story is produced with a partner who gives us access to a story. We have a wide range of partners covering cultural, social, religious, environmental and other organisations. We are always looking for new partners who can give us access in this way. We always promise to tell stories honestly and accurately without manipulation or staging and once gathered, we always share photographs. If you have a story that you think will fit under the DOAW heading, please get in touch with us.

Partners for the first year of DOAW have included:

KFOR and SFOR – NATO led international peacekeepers in Kosovo and Serbia who provided access for 'Stories from the Balkans'

ISAF – International Security Assistance Force who provided access for Faces of Kabul, the Afghanistan story

Auschwitz Birkenau Museum  and Yad Vashem – for assistance with acces for 'Testimony', the Auschwitz story

The London Race Hate Crime Forum (Metropolitan Police Authority) - for assistance with 'Chandra's London'

Brick Lane Youth Development Association - for assistance with 'Banglatown Portrait'

We are grateful for the funding from the Scottish Executive, the Department for Communities and Local Government, and a wide range of local authorities and businesses who have supported the initiative. The historical DOAW story, Witness, has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
